Raiders Look to Get Back on the Winning Track at Sandburg

The Bolingbrook High School football team can clinch a playoff spot with a victory tonight over Sandburg.

With just one win standing between it and another playoff bid, the Bolingbrook High School football team travels to Sandburg High School tonight in a battle of once-beaten Southwest Suburban Blue Conference teams.

Both teams enter the game with just one blemish on its 2011 regular season resume. And both have come at the hands of the mighty Lincoln-Way East.

Last game: to Lincoln-Way East

Points for: 243

Points against: 95

Player to watch: QB Aaron Bailey—Bailey has all the tools you'd want in a high school quarterback: quick feet, a strong arm and, perhaps most importantly, a strong cast of characters to spread the wealth around. Look for Bailey and the Bolingbrook offense to have post some big numbers against Sandburg.

Sandburg High School

Record: 3-1 Conference, 5-1 Overall

Last game: win over Joliet Central

Points for: 168

Points against: 97

Player to watch: The Eagles don't have as an explosive offense as the Raiders and will need to control the possession game if they want to succeed. Look for Sandburg to turn to running back Lemonte Booker early and often to set the tone. Last week, Booker rushed for 57 yards and two touchdowns.
