Twice Blessed: Two Bolingbrook Football Players Named to All-State Teams

Running back Jaden Huff and defensive back Parrker Westphal recognized for leading the Raiders to a 10-1 record.

One on offense. And one on defense.

Two Bolingbrook High School football players have been named to all-state teams, according to a news release from the Valley View School District.

Running back Jaden Huff—a four-year starter—was named to the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association All-State First Team. He rushed for 814 yards and helped the Raiders notch a 10-1 overall record and a 7-0 mark in the Southwest Suburban Blue, good for undisputed possession of the conference championship.

Huff also earned all-conference and all-area honors as was the runner-up in voting for the Offensive Player of the Year in the SWSC Blue.

Defensive back Parrker Westphal was named to the Champaign News Gazette First Team All-State squad. Westphal finished with 50 tackles, eight pass break-ups and four interceptions. He earned all-conference and all-area honors and was voted the Defensive Player of the Year in the SWSC Blue.

Bolingbrook advanced to the second round of the Class 8A playoffs before falling to Marist 21-7.
