Valley View School District 365U middle school wrestlers won titles in five classes at Illinois Elementary School Association regionals over the weekend. Sectionals are this weekend at Lukanic Middle School.
Top four VVSD finishers included:
- 65 pounds: David Zarco (Lukanic/Martinez), 4th
- 80 pounds: Cameron Hargrove (Brooks), 2nd
- 85 pounds: Abraham Watson (Brooks), 3rd
- 90 pounds: River Kowal (Lukancic/Martinez), 1st, and Anthony Mark (Lukancic/Martinez), 2nd
- 95 pounds: Azael Ramirez (Lukancic/Martinez), 1st
- 119 pounds: Shawn Carrier (Humphrey), 3rd
- 145 pounds: Aaron Aerchar (Brooks), 4th
- 155 pounds: Yakari Jones (Lukancic/Martinez), 3rd, and Jimmy McDonald (Lukancic/Martinez), 4th
- 167 pounds: Andres Jara (Lukancic/Martinez), 1st, and George Hernandez (Brooks), 4th
- 185 pounds: Omari Holiday (Jane Addams), 2nd and Sebastian Gonzalez (Humphrey), 3rd
- 215 pounds: Carlos Carpintero (Lukancic/Martinez), 1st
- 275 pounds: Dashaun Mallory (Humphrey), 1st; Collin Wilson (Jane Addams), 3rd; and Glenn Armstrong (Lukancic/Martinez), 4th
