The weekend's storms may have given us a moment of reprieve, but the heat is back for the week, according to the National Weather Service.
Expect hot and humid conditions through the week, including high's in the 90's and temperatures nearing 100 degrees at times. During the hottest afternoons, heat indexes of 105 degrees are possible.
Some thunderstorms may bring some relief, the long duration of the heat will take a toll on sensitive health groups, NWS said.
