New Song Church to Host 25 Japanese Students

The students from the church's sister church in Osaka will participate in ministry and sightseeing activities from July 27 to Aug. 10.

in Bolingbrook will host 25 Japanese students from its sister church in Japan this summer.

The Japanese students are from Grace Mission Church in Osaka, Japan, and includes middle school, high school, and college students. The group will be in Bolingbrook from July 27 to August 10 and will participate in both ministry and sightseeing activities.

The church will host a picnic on Sunday, July 29, at 2 p.m. The picnic and barbecue will include classic American picnic games. The community is welcome to come.

“Our sister church Grace Mission has hosted us when we have traveled to Japan and now is our opportunity to extend the same kindness,” said Teaching Pastor Frank Taylor. “Our belief in Christ teaches us that we are brothers and sisters in faith with our Japanese friends.”

New Song Church in Bolingbrook houses a food and clothing pantry, the Bolingbrook Christian Health Center, Midwest Christian Montessori Academy, housing counseling for the Community Service Council of Will County, and the Good Shepherd Head Start program.
