Government, police, trash pickup

• Village Hall: Bolingbrook Village Hall, 375 Briarcliff Road, is closed Thursday.
• DuPage Township: The township office, 241 Canterbury Lane, is also closed on July 4.
• Trash collection: Trash collection will be delayed by one day because the Fourth of July falls on a weekday.
• Emergency: Call 911 for police or fire emergencies. For any non-emergency, call the Bolingbrook Police Department at (630) 759-1811.

Around town

• Post office: The Bolingbrook Post Office, 105 Canterbury Lane., will not be open on the Fourth of July, nor will there be any mail delivery or pickup. 
• Library: Fountaindale Public Library will be not be open Thursday, but you can still drop off borrowed books, DVDs, etc., in the book return. The library is also always open online at http://www.fountaindale.org The library will be open regular hours on Wednesday, July 3 (9 a.m. to 9 p.m.) and Friday, July 5 (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.)

• Banks: Most banks will be closed on Wednesday, so call your branch before you head out the door.

• 4:26 PM - (#1274) - Will depart from Downers Grove, Main Street and will not stop at Aurora.
