2-for-1: Bolingbrook Gearing Up for a Big Night of Holiday Music

In the mood for some holiday music?

Well, the folks at Bolingbrook High School have just the thing for you: Bolingbrook’s annual holiday concert is Thursday, Dec. 12, and features two separate and distinct performances, according to a Valley View School District news release.

At 6:30 p.m., Concert Band I, Mixed Choir, Jazz Band 2, Sunrise Singers, Symphonic Band and Madrigals will perform. At 8:30 p.m., Concert Winds, Women’s Glee, Jazz Band 1, Sunrise Singers and Wind Symphony will perform.

Tickets are $3 and are available in advance (until noon the day of the performance) by going to www.showtix4u.com.

BHS CARDS FOR TROOPS: In preparation for a Dec. 12 event in which they will send “thank you” packages and make holiday greeting cards for American troops overseason, the Bolingbrook High School National Honor Society is seeking donations of both cardstock and personal care items. BROOKS FUN NIGHT: Brooks Middle School’s Barnes & Noble Family Fun Night is Friday, Dec. 6. In addition to the many fun things to do in The Promenade Bolingbrook bookstore, Santa will be on hand at 7 p.m. to read the Polar Express, the Brooks choir will perform and student artwork will be on display. The event runs from 6-8 p.m. A portion of the proceeds will go to the school library as long as patrons indicate they are Brooks supporters.
