Bolingbrook High School Parent Open House; Local Football Season Kicks Off
5 things to put on your calendar in the week ahead.
1. Spartans High School Hockey Pre-Season Skate: 8 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 27) at Darien Sportsplex, 451 Plainfield Road, Darien. Skaters must attend Lemont, Lockport, Bolingbrook or Romeoville high schools. Cost: $75 for four skates. Information: www.spartanshockeyclub.org
2. 3rd Annual Dinner with Ditka: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 27) at Mike Ditka’s Steak House, 100 E. Chestnut, Chicago. Cost: $150 single tickets; $1400 for a table of 10. Information/purchase tickets: www.kidshavehope.org/events
3. Bolingbrook High School Parent Open House: Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 29) at Bolingbrook High School. Parents will attend their child’s classes beginning at 7 p.m.

4. Farmer’s Market: 4 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 29) at The Promenade Bolingbrook, 631 E. Boughton Road, Bolingbrook. The market is open every Thursday through Oct. 3.
5. High School Football Kickoff: Both Valley View School districts open the season on Friday, Aug. 30. Bolingbrook plays at Hinsdale Central, 7:30 p.m.; Hinsdale South is at Romeoville, 7 p.m.
