Good Samaratians Keep Christmas Spirit Alive in Bolingbrook

One holiday season ends. And the preparation for another begins in the Village of Bolingbrook.
The 21st annual Operation Christmas Garage Sale event will be held this weekend on the stage of the Performing Arts Center behind Bolingbrook Village Hall. The sale runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday (Jan. 10) and Saturday (Jan. 11).
Residents can pick from donated items such as clothing, jewelry, pots and pans, books, furniture and bikes and support a good cause, too—Christmas 2014.

“This will be the first fundraising event in 2014 for ‘Christmas 2014,’ “ said Village Clerk Carol Penning. “The Bettig Family—along with a group of wonderful volunteers—helped over 500 families in need this past holiday season.”
