Wheaton attorney Harry Smith represented Kathleen Savio in her divorce from Drew Peterson. He has testified that Savio repeatedly asked him to go to the authorities if she happened to die, and to tell them Peterson was responsible.

Smith also said under oath that Stacy Peterson visited him shortly before she disappeared. She wanted to hire him to represent her in her planned divorce from Peterson. Smith also said Stacy asked him how much more money they could get out of Peterson in the divorce if they revealed how he killed Savio.
