• Previous elected or appointed offices: Dupage Township Trustee from 1993 to present (19 years- five consecutive terms). Dupage Township Republican Committeeman for the past 18 years

Is there any additional experience you believe qualifies you for the position? 

My professional experience as a manufacturing engineer with capital improvements projects. Volunteering in the community as a past member of the Bolingbrook Jaycees and as past member of the Bolingbrook Civic and Cultural Commission.

What would your priorities be if elected to this office?

Our infrastructure needs to keep pace with growth and development.Through multiple land use, transit options, new traffic flow technology and environmental initiatives.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

Being a current elected official, I come with knowledge of governmental budgeting process and revenue allocation.

What can the county do to promote job growth and draw new business to Will County?

The county should continue to develop the county roads and infrastructure to attract high tech companies that can expand the tax base , both property and sales tax to help reduce the tax burden of the residents of the county.

Do you believe Cook County is encroaching on Will, and how would you make sure there isn't a negative influence from the city?

Yes there is encroachment on Will County by the County of Cook as results of the congressional boundaries the resulted from the recent re-districting.

Should it be Will County or a special commission in charge of aproposed airport? Why, and how would that work?

I would like to see the formation of an Airport Authority with representatives from the adjoining counties of Will, Kankakee, Cook and maybe Indiana and the State of Illinois, with Will County given a majority representation. I think a cohesive board will be able to work better with the Federal Transportation Department. I have seen this system worked before: The New York Port Authority runs the airport in New York and Newark, New Jersey and also the Greater Cincinnati Airport is across the border in the State of Kentucky. Everybody’s approach up to this point has been very juvenile.

All candidates have lauded the current board for work balancing thebudget; what more would you do to practice fiscal responsibility?

Continue to balance the budget and spend within our means, that is no long term borrowing.

Besides Renewing Will County, would you propose any projectsrelated to sustainability in the county?

Due to the vastness of the land mass, I would like to see the introduction of wind turbines to harness energy that can be added to our electrical grid.

What ideas do you have for improving the county's infrastructure and transportation?

I support the idea of the Illinois- Indiana expressway as another improvement and option of meeting our future transportation needs.

In what ways can the county operate more efficiently and improve technologically?

We can use technology as a tool to conduct fiscal and budgeting forensic as a means to highlight transparency in government.
