Another Pretrial Hearing Date Set For Accused Child Pornographer

Aaron Riley, the accused child pornographer from Bolingbrook, will likely go to trial early this year.

As the upcoming trial for an accused child pornographer from Bolingbrook inches closer, another pretrial hearing has been set for February. Aaron Riley, 56, was arrested in October 2010 and charged with 10 counts of aggravated child pornography, a Class 2 felony punishable by three to seven years in prison. His arrest was the 10th made under Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan’s crackdown on child porn traffickers, dubbed “Operation Glass House.” Under the initiative, Madigan's office used IP addresses to track down people trading child pornography in Illinois. At an Oct. 26, 2010 news conference, Madigan said police found a room filled "floor to ceiling" with child pornography in Riley's Bolingbrook home. Riley was in court Tuesday …

Pretrial Hearings for Accused Child Pornographer Nearing Final Phase

Aaron Riley, the accused child pornographer from Bolingbrook, will likely go to trial in early 2012.

Attorneys representing Aaron Riley, the accused child pornographer from Bolingbrook, were granted on Tuesday a request for more time to forensically analyze hard drives seized from Riley's home in October 2010. Riley, 56, appeared in a Will County courtroom Tuesday morning in front of Judge Sarah F. Jones. The case is nearing the final phase of discovery hearings before going to trial. Jones granted Riley's attorneys their request for more time for forensic experts to complete analyses of hard drives seized from Riley’s home at the time of his arrest. Court Hearing Continues for Alleged Child Pornographer

Aaron Riley, 55, of Bolingbrook, was arrested and charged Oct. 5 with 10 counts of aggravated child pornography. After pleading not guilty to all counts, Riley is set to appear in court again on May 3 for a pretrial hearing.

A significant amount of sensitive discovery remains in the pretrial for Bolingbrook's alleged child pornographer. Aaron Riley, 55, of the 500 block of Spruce Road, appeared in a Will County Court room this morning after pleading not guilty to child pornography charges in October. With a representative from Attorney General Lisa Madigan's office on-hand, both sides agreed to extend Riley's pretrial hearing to May 3.  Riley's pretrial has been ongoing for more than two months. State officials in October said Riley, who faces 10 counts of aggravated child pornography, a Class 2 felony punishable by three to seven years in prison, had one of the largest collections of child pornography in Illinois.  Prosecutors said police entered Riley's home…

A Bolingbrook man police say was caught with more than 200,000 files of child pornography in his basement appeared in a Will County courtroom today for a brief pretrial hearing. Aaron Riley, 55, of the 500 block of Spruce Road, was arrested and charged Oct. 5 with 10 counts of aggravated child pornography, a Class 2 felony punishable by three to seven years in prison. Riley pleaded not guilty to all charges during his last hearing Oct. 27. Per his attorney's request, Riley's pretrial hearing was rescheduled to Dec. 27. Prosecutors said police entered Riley's home, where they arrested him after finding child pornography that he admitted to viewing, burning and sharing. Aaron Riley, who is being charged with 10 counts of aggravated child pornography, pleaded not guilty Wednesday in a Will County courtroom.
