Oak View to Honor Student at Next Valley View Meeting
Fifth-grader Andrea Czart is the first student ever to earn more than 1,000 points in the Accelerated Reading Program.
Oak View Elementary School will honor fifth-grade student Andrea Czart for her achievement in the Accelerated Reading Incentive Program at Tuesday's Valley View School District 365U board meeting. An avid reader, school officials said Andrea is the first student ever to earn more than 1,000 points in the Accelerated Reading Program. This was accomplished by reading and taking comprehension tests on 124 books, most of them fictional chapter books. She tested at a 93 percent average on these books. At Tuesday's board meeting, Andrea will be receiving a Barnes and Noble Nook Simple Touch E-Reader and a Certificate of Reading Achievement.
