Candidates Address Bolingbrook Chamber as Election Approaches
Nearly 20 candidates attended the Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce's "Meet the Candidates Nights."
The Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce held a "Meet the Candidates Night" Wednesday, during which a gathering of local, county and state candidates got a chance to meet with constituents and voters as the Nov. 2 midterm election approaches. Each candidate or his or her representative was given a chance to speak to the audience, and there was no debate and no questions were taken. Voters, though, were encouraged to ask questions before and after the speeches during the meet-and-greet portion of the night. A small number of local voters were in the audience, as the elected officials and candidates spoke mostly to each other and a few chamber officials.
