Ben Moore, Prentiss Nixon and Kenny Williams were all named All-State by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association. Moore, a BHS senior headed to play at Southern Methodist in the fall, was named to the All-State 2nd team, while junior Kenny Williams and sophomore Prentiss Nixon made Special Mention. Moore collected additional honors over the weekend. On Saturday, the Associated Press named him to their All-State list. The Bolingbrook High School boys basketball team ended its 20-win season lasts week in a regional final game against Oswego. The Oswego Panthers beat the Bolingbrook Raiders 72-59. Oswego narrowly lost to West Aurora in the sectional semifinals Wednesday 61-60. Bolingbrook ended its season with a 20-8 record. Bolingbrook top-scorers: Ben Moore, 27 points, Prentiss Nixon, 8, Kenny Williams, 8, Kendall Guyton, 7, and CJ Redmond 7. After trailing through the first three quarters, the Bolingbrook Lady Raiders basketball team rallied to battle Whitney Young in overtime for the supersectional title.

Bolingbrook never led the game in regulation. The first three quarters all ended with double-digit deficits. But a 18-2 run in the fourth quarter rocked the game with a 48-48 tie and 42 seconds left on the clock. A Valley View School District 365U rivalry could occur during the semi-final of the Oswego sectional.
As they pursue the Illinois High School Association’s Class 4A girls basketball state championship, Romeoville and Bolingbrook high schools could run into each other in the Oswego sectional semifinal at 6 p.m. Feb. 19. The Lady Raiders are seeded first in the sectional and will open their quest for another state title at 6 p.m. Feb. 13 in Yorkville against either Plainfield North or Joliet West. The Yorkville regional championship game is Feb. 14 at 7:30 p.m. The Lady Spartans are seeded fourth in the sectional and will open play as the favorites at Lemont in a 6 p.m. Feb. 13 contest against either Lemont or Plainfield South. A fourth foul on Bolingbrook top-scorer Amarah Coleman turned the tide to Marian Catholic's favor.
After crushing several conference opponents, the Bolingbrook High School Lady Raiders basketball team fell to Marian Catholic Monday in the McDonald's Shootout in Willowbrook, according to the Southtown Star. It was the first time Marian Catholic (20-1) has defeated Bolingbrook. Marian Catholic and Bolingbrook were tied in the second half when Bolingbrook's Amarah Coleman received her fourth foul and took the bench. That's when Marian went on an 8-1 lead to take the lead. The Bolingbrook High School girls basketball team bested Lincoln Way Central Thursday night in Bolingbrook.
It wasn't much of a fight. Bolingbrook High School's girls basketball team steamrolled Lincoln Way Central Thursday, winning 80-22 in Bolingbrook.
