Westphal, a defensive back for Bolingbrook High School, has received 20 college football scholarship offers.
Parrker Westphal, a junior at Bolingbrook High School, made an unofficial visit to the University of Florida over the weekend, according to the Chicago Tribune. Westphal, who plays defensive back, has 20 scholarship offers to play college football. While there, Westphal connected with Antonio Morrison, a Florida freshman and linebacker for the Gators and fellow Bolingbrook Raiders teammate. "It was great," Westphal told the Trib. "I loved the campus and how it's set up. The visit helped out a lot. It gave me the opportunity to get to know the coaches on a more personal basis, as well as them being able to get to know me as more than just a player on film wearing the number 21. Bolingbrook High School students will play at the University of Illinois, the University of Central Missouri, Culver-Stockton College and the University of Wyoming.
Five Bolingbrook High School football players have signed NCAA letters of intent to play college ball in the fall. Quarterback Aaron Bailey will attend the University of Illinois. The 6-2, 225 pounder rushed for 742 yards and 12 touchdowns and passed for 349 yards and 4 touchdowns during what was an injury-plagued season. Running back Omar Stover has utilized early graduation to head for University of Wyoming already. He carried the ball 112 times for 1,012 yards as a senior, scoring 12 touchdowns. Defensive back Greg Amos signed with University of Central Missouri. Amos, who stands 6-0 and weighs 175 pounds, had 20 tackles, 16 assists,4 interceptions and a fumble recovery as a senior. Bolingbrook High School running back Omar Stover made a written commitment to the University of Wyoming last week.
Another Bolingbrook High School football alum will play college ball. Omar Stover will play for the University of Wyoming in 2013. The running back graduated early from BHS and will attend spring semester classes at the University of Wyoming. Stover recently signed his letter of intent with his parents and varsity football coach John Ivlow by his side. He chose Wyoming over an offer from North Dakota. Get news in your inbox.
