When Does Pelican Harbor Aquatic Park in Bolingbrook Open?

Pelican Harbor Aquatic Park will open this weekend (weather permitting). Hours, admission prices and more.

Pelican Harbor Aquatic Park in Bolingbrook will open Memorial Day weekend, weather permitting.  The park's official opening Day is Saturday, when temperatures aren't expected to hit more than 60 degrees.  You can keep tabs on Pelican Harbor on their Twitter account. Hours and admission fees are below.   Saturday, May 25 - Noon-6:00 pm, weather permitting (no early entry) Sunday, May 26 - Noon-6:00 pm (no early entry) Monday, May 27 - Noon-6:00 pm (no early entry) Daily - $15 per person w/Resident ID - $8 Children age two and under are FREE. Anyone entering Pelican Harbor who is 3 years and up must pay admission, whether swimming or not.  Buy your Pelican Pass now and save on a summer of fun!  w/Resident ID - $56 w/o Resident ID - $78

The Bolingbrook Park District will host a free health and wellness fair Sunday from 9:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. at BRAC.  Explore the full range of health and wellness. This free event aims to boost your overall state of mind, from personal to professional. Editor's note: Election results will not be official until Tuesday, April 30 when canvassing of votes is completed and after absentee ballots postmarked by midnight, April 8, and provisional and grace period ballots are counted on April 21. Full results from Bolingbrook's April 9, 2013, election are below, from Bolingbrook mayor and village board to DuPage Township and the Valley View School District 365U school board. Eight candidates ran for four school board seats. Bolingbrook Park District to Hold First-Ever Maple Tap 'N Taste

The Bolingbrook Park District will hold the event on March 2 at the Hidden Oaks Conservation Area.

Hidden Oaks Conservation Area wants to tap into your appetite at the first-ever Maple Tap 'N Taste on March 2.  Experience the flavor and learn the history of maple tapping in a live demonstration at Hidden Oaks. Sample fresh maple sap straight from the tree and then savor its full, syrupy goodness in a campfire pancake cookout. This program runs from 10 a.m. to noon. The fee is $10 per person with a resident ID and $15 without.  For more information call (630) 739-0272.
