A 20-year-old from Bolingbrook who was injured in an accident at Route 53 and Boughton Tuesday is "severely bruised" but awake, according to a family member.

Updated: Thursday, noon A family member of a 20-year-old motorcycle driver who sustained "severe, internal injuries" after his motorcycle struck a minivan Tuesday said her cousin woke up from a coma Thursday morning. The accident was reported near the intersection of Schmidt and Boughton Roads Saturday night.
A bicyclist was hit by a car Saturday night near the intersection of Schmidt and Boughton Roads, according to Bolingbrook police. A reader reported seeing a man on a bike lying on the ground and several police cars in the area. The bicyclist sustained a "non-incapacitating injury," according to police. glad to hear the great news!!! prayers for a speedy and full recovery. can you release a name of the kid. I myself am 23 from bolingbrook and ride a motorcycle. I actually just got home as it happened and a friend called me to make sure I arrived home ok because he seen the accident site . we all like to watch out for one another..glad to hear the good news and hope the recovery goes well.   more ›
