Bolingbrook Man Charged with Aggravated Sexual Abuse, Victim is 16

A 34-year-old Bolingbrook man was allegedly having sex with a minor for two years, according to police.

A Bolingbrook man has been charged with aggravated sexual abuse, according to Bolingbrook police.  Sign up for our free, daily e-newsletter.  Like Bolingbrook Patch on Facebook.  Cesar Marini-Garcia, 34, of the 200 block of Bunker Hill, was arrested March 7 at 9:30 p.m.  Police said they received a report that Marini-Garcia was having sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old female on multiple occasions over the past two years.  A third party learned of the situation and notified police.  Marini-Garcia was taken into custody, processed and transported to Will County ADF. The incident remains under investigation.

Thief Steals Dozens of Rogaine Boxes from CVS: Bolingbrook Police

The theft was reported to the Bolingbrook Police Department on Feb. 21.

A thief stole "numerous boxes" of Rogaine from a Bolingbrook CVS Feb. 21, according to Bolingbrook police.  The theft took place at 5:32 p.m. at 1725 W. Boughton Rd. Someone removed several boxes of Rogaine and left the store without paying.  The loss was valued at $730. Village Cuts Fire Chief, Reorganizes Department As Part of Budget Process

The village of Bolingbrook has removed the position of fire chief from its budget, effective May 1.

A traditional chief will no longer be at the helm of the Bolingbrook Fire Department come spring, when a reorganization is scheduled to go into effect. The village has cut the position from its Fiscal Year 2014 budget, which runs from May 1, 2013 to April 30, 2014, according to documents Patch received through a Freedom of Information Act request. Starting then, department personnel will no longer report to current Fire Chief Dave Litton. Instead, they'll answer to Bolingbrook Police Chief Kevin McCarthy, whose title is redefined as "public safety director" in the budget documents, which were the most updated reports available.
