Man Robs Bolingbrook La Quinta Inn at Gunpoint: Police

An armed robbery was reported at a Bolingbrook hotel last month, according to Bolingbrook police.

An armed robbery took place at La Quinta Inn & Suites in Bolingbrook March 22, according to police.  Sign up for our daily email newsletter Like us on Facebook. Around 9:45 p.m., a female employee was working the front desk when a man entered the hotel with a black scarf covering his face.  He displayed a black handgun and demanded money. He then threw a small black bag at the front desk employee. She placed approximately $300 into the bag and gave it to the robber. He fled east out of the front door. La Quinta Inn & Suites is located at 225 W. Frontage Rd.  No charges have been made in the case. The robber is described as a 5'7" man between 20 and 30 years old with an average build. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and a black scarf…

Teen Robbed at Gunpoint After Refusing to Buy Drugs: Bolingbrook Police

The armed robbery was reported to the Bolingbrook Police Department on Jan. 24.

A teenager was robbed at gunpoint in Bolingbrook Jan. 24, according to police.  Two teenagers were approached in the 1000 block of Ridgewood Drive at 2:20 p.m. by two subjects. The pair asked the teens if they wanted to buy drugs. The teens declined and walked away.  One of the subjects again approached the teens and displayed a handgun. He or she then went through teenagers' pants pockets, stealing cash and a cell phone. Armed Robbery at Bolingbrook Speedway: Police

The armed robbery took place in the early hours of Jan. 11, according to Bolingbrook police.

Bolingbrook Dr. at 2:40 a.m.  A man or woman entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the register. This person then fled the store.  No charges have been reported in this incident, which remains under investigation.  Another armed robbery took place at a Marathon gas station in October. In that incident, the thief pointed a silver semi-automatic handgun at the clerk and stole $1,178 and several cartons of cigarettes.  READ MORE:

Three people, including one with a handgun, forced a 15-year-old onto the ground during the afternoon of Jan. 8.

Three people stole pieces of clothing off of a 15-year-old at gunpoint Jan. 8, according to Bolingbrook police.  Sign up for our daily e-newsletter.  Like Bolingbrook Patch on Facebook.  The 15-year-old male was walking behind Honey Jam Cafe, 120 E. Boughton Rd., at 3:42 p.m. on the Winston Village side when he was approached by three males. One of the offenders displayed a handgun.  All three offenders pushed the victim to the ground. They then removed his white hoodie, T-shirt and blue jeans and fled on foot. The victim returned home in his shorts. After putting his shoes back on, he called the police. Officers were unable to locate the offenders at the time of the call, but were able to gather information through the preliminary …
