An armed robbery was reported at a Bolingbrook hotel last month, according to Bolingbrook police.

Around 9:45 p.m., a female employee was working the front desk when a man entered the hotel with a black scarf covering his face. He displayed a black handgun and demanded money. He then threw a small black bag at the front desk employee. She placed approximately $300 into the bag and gave it to the robber. He fled east out of the front door. La Quinta Inn & Suites is located at 225 W. Frontage Rd. No charges have been made in the case. The robber is described as a 5'7" man between 20 and 30 years old with an average build. The armed robbery was reported to the Bolingbrook Police Department on Jan. 24.
A teenager was robbed at gunpoint in Bolingbrook Jan. 24, according to police. Two teenagers were approached in the 1000 block of Ridgewood Drive at 2:20 p.m. by two subjects. The pair asked the teens if they wanted to buy drugs. The teens declined and walked away. One of the subjects again approached the teens and displayed a handgun. He or she then went through teenagers' pants pockets, stealing cash and a cell phone. The thief then ran away. No charges have been reported in this incident. The robbery took place at Speedway, 352 S. Bolingbrook Dr. at 2:40 a.m. A man or woman entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the register. This person then fled the store. No charges have been reported in this incident, which remains under investigation. Another armed robbery took place at a Marathon gas station in October. In that incident, the thief pointed a silver semi-automatic handgun at the clerk and stole $1,178 and several cartons of cigarettes. READ MORE:
