The crash took place at 5:17 a.m. at Route 53 and Lily Cache Lane. The crash shut down the intersection for about an hour. According to police, a car attempting to turn left from Route 53 to Lily Cache Lane struck a car traveling southbound on Route 53. A third car, which was waiting to turn onto Lily Cache, was then hit. The driver of the first car, a 67-year-old woman, was cited for disobeying a traffic control device. She was entrapped within the car and was one of two people taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital. Neither injury appeared to be life-threatening, …
