Thefts from Meijer, landscaping lights damaged and more in the Bolingbrook police blotter of Feb. 18-20.
Feb. 20 Forgery Christopher Bartsch, 21, 1843 S. Keeler Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 8:50 p.m. and charged with forgery after attempting to pass a counterfeit $100 bill at McDonald’s, 840 E. Boughton Rd., police said. In-state warrant Ells Lyles, 23, 221 Cherokee Dr., was arrested at 4:09 p.m. and charged with an in-state warrant, following a traffic stop at Route 53 and Frontage Road, police said. In-state warrant Arturo Rodriguez, 27, 505 Preston Dr., was arrested at 8:36 p.m. and charged with an in-state warrant on the 500 block of Preston Drive, police said. Twenty-one car thefts were reported in January to the Bolingbrook Police Department. Ten took place between Jan. 24-30. Three more were reported during the overnight hours between Jan. 14-15. Then article itself is wrong. It says "Twenty-one car thefts"..."were reported in January to the Bolingbrook Police Department." That to me, sounds like the cars were stolen, not broken into.   more ›
