Bolingbrook Man Accused of Shooting Teenager

Chicago Police announced first-degree murder charges Saturday against a Bolingbrook man. They say he's responsible for the death of an 18-year-old woman earlier this month.

Police say a Bolingbrook man is to blame for a recent shooting that claimed the life of an 18-year-old Chicago woman. Investigators list the address for Larry Luellen Jr. as being in the 400 block of Salem Square in Bolingbrook, though they've said he was most recently living in Chicago. The 34-year-old has been charged with one count of first-degree murder, according to Chicago Police. They say Luellen shot a young woman while she was walking around 7 p.m. on Feb. 15 in the city's Humboldt Park neighborhood—specifically, the 1100 block of North Pulaski Avenue. The intended target was a rival gang member, police said. The gunshot fatally struck the teen in the back, according to police reports. It's free to join Patch. Get more Bolingbrook…
