Despite Huge Amount of Inventory on Site, Rizzi's Flower Garden is Closed

Owner Edward Rizzi files for bankruptcy, does not return calls; wife says closure might be "temporary."

From the road, everything looks as it should at Rizzi’s Flower Garden & Aquatic Center on Route 59. Pots of flowers, wooden gazebos and concrete statuary fill every open space in front of the store and greenhouse. Bloom-festooned flags, calling to drivers passing by, flap in the breeze. The only clue that it’s not open for business – in fact, never opened this spring, an employee says – is the rope that keeps cars from entering the driveway. The sign in front, typically advertising sales, bears only a phone number – the home phone of owner Edward C. Rizzi. Good post Pat! The two (yes, two articles) in my opinion, written about Rizzi's went over the top. The Village of Plainfield has been only about facades and sign heights and appear to support only the downtown area (where they have insufficient parking, obstructions on the sidewalks, ill-placed and not striped crosswalks, speed bumps and goofy street corners that many hit when turning, especially…   more ›
