'Non-Student' Found Dead in Lewis University Dorm

Few details were available about the victim other than his or her body was found in the Fitzpatrick Hall.

The Romeoville Police Department and the Will County Coroner's Office are investigating the death of a "non-student" who was found dead Sunday in Lewis University's Fitzpatrick Hall. No details on the death or the person's identity were avaiable Sunday night. The information was made public by the Romeoville-based Catholic University via its Facebook page. Employees were also notified via email Sunday night. "The authorities report there was not and is no current threat to campus," the statement said. The campus remains open and all classes and activities will go on as scheduled, the release said. Bolingbrook Woman Dies in Oklahoma Car Accident

Margaret Caliendo died Saturday following a single-car, rollover accident.

A Bolingbrook woman died Saturday in Oklahoma following a single-car, rollover accident.  Margaret Caliendo, 50, died in Joplin, MO, Saturday afternoon, according to NewsOn6.com. Caliendo was a passenger of a four-door Toyota. The car left the road for unknown reasons, hit a fence, went airborne for 30 feet, struck an embankment and rolled one time.  Ralph Caliendo, also of Bolingbrook, was driving. He was also transported to the hospital and was listed in poor condition, according to NewsOn6.com. Police Investigating Death of Bolingbrook Man Crushed by Vehicle

A preliminary investigation indicates Michael Jason Morris, 32, was underneath his vehicle working on the brakes and transmission when the vehicle rolled back on him.

Officials from the Bolingbrook Police Department and the Will County Coroner’s office are investigating the death of a Bolingbrook man who was found pinned under a Jeep Cherokee early Tuesday morning. Michael Jason Morris, 32, 543 Emerson Court, was found by Bolingbrook police and fire officials at 12:47 a.m. after they were dispatched to his home for the report of a vehicle which fell on an individual. Police said a neighbor made the call. Upon arrival, officers found Morris under his vehicle and unresponsive. They were able to lift the vehicle while another officer pulled Morris out from underneath. Bolingbrook High School Mourning Loss After Student's Unexpected Death

Officials said freshman Edwin Vergara passed away Monday from medical complications.

Bolingbrook High School freshman Edwin Vergara passed away unexpectedly Monday from medical complications, according to Valley View officials. Social workers, psychologists and counselors will be at the school to provide support for both students and staff. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the Vergara family,” officials said on Valley View’s Facebook page.

One Dead, One Charged in Bolingbrook Crash

Jay Cox, 35, of Bolingbrook has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol in the accident that took the life of Efren Garcia, 30, of Bolingbrook.

UPDATED: 10:30 p.m. Sunday One Bolingbrook man is dead and another faces drunken driving charges after a traffic accident late Friday night. Bolingbrook police said that a Jeep driven by Jay Cox, 35, 251 Meadowbrook Drive, Bolingbrook, collided with a Nissan driven by Efren Garcia, 30, of Bolingbrook, at around 11 p.m. at the intersection of Rockhurst Road onto Monterey Drive. Garcia, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was attempting to turn onto Monterey when he was struck. The Jeep SUV then rolled over and came to rest on its roof, police said. Police said Garcia was pinned in his car, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Cox was taken to Bolingbrook Adventist Hospital, where he was treated and released. Cox was charged with aggravated …

Updated: Bolingbrook Teen Shot Before Being Left in Burning Home

Bolingbrook girl, 19, allegedly shot before being left dead in a burning Villa Park house.

- - - - Updated on Thursday at 1:15 p.m. - - - -  DuPage County Coroner Pete Siekmann has confirmed to the Daily Herald that the four people killed in Villa Park on Tuesday were shot multiple times before the home they were in was set on fire. One of those victims was Andra Robinson, 21, of Bolingbrook. Robinson, a recent Bolingbrook High School graduate, had previously been identified as Dominique Robinson. From the Daily Herald: The coroner’s office identified two of the victims as 37-year-old Ursula Nailor and her niece Andra Robinson, 21, of Bolingbrook. Police: Bolingbrook Man Dead After Fight With Roommate

Eduardo Formanski was pronounced dead at Loyola University Medical Center after he allegedly got into a fight with one of his roommates in a group home in Bolingbrook.

A 30-year-old mentally disabled man from Bolingbrook died Saturday at Loyola University Medical Center after he was allegedly involved in a fight with one of his roommates Sept. 11. According to police, Eduardo Formanski, who lived on the 200 block of Sunshine Drive in a group home for mentally disabled adults, was involved in a fight with one of his roommates his death before being transferred to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital. Shortly thereafter, he was taken to Loyola. According to a Chicago Tribune report, Formanski's death was ruled a homicide from compressional asphyxia in an assault, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
