Real Gun or Fake? Learn the Differences at a DuPage Township Seminar

DuPage Township will host the seminar "Who Lives and Who Dies? Can you identify a REAL WEAPON from a FAKE WEAPON?" March 20.

Could you identify a real gun from a pellet gun, BB gun or a painted water gun? Could having a fake gun be life-threatening?  DuPage Township will host a seminar March 20 to tackle those issues, as well as the use of BB and other "fake" guns in Will County crime and the dangers BB and pellet guns pose. H.E.A.R.T. assists teens 13 to 18 years of age in Will County who are in need of court-ordered community service compliance. It is the first time DuPage Township will present this program, according to officials.  The organizers said they scheduled the program to …

Jimmy, What has he said above that indicates more spending. The township helps those in need. If you lost your job and couldnt feed your family, the township would be there to assist you and your family. Did you know that the majority of the food is donated from local grocery stores? Are you saying it is more humane to throw it away and feed the racoons or help your neighbor?   more ›

Why is it assumed that we will have an ever increasing need for more spending? I keep hearing the economy is improving. I believe the food pantry and many of the activities of the township are wasteful and duplicative (youth activities). The township seems to thrive on creating more dependency. Shirley ...I do hope you are elected but I also hope you try to follow some of the methods and …   more ›

The reason I pay taxes is to maintain the community I have chosen to live in. When the community offers assistance to help its citizens through times they cannot handle alone, it fosters loyalty and presents itself to the outside as a stable community.
