Police: Bolingbrook Woman Hits Child with Car

A 27-year-old woman allegedly hit a middle school student outside a Lemont school with her car Tuesday.

Chloe Martin, 27, of Bolingbrook, has been charged as the driver of a vehicle that struck an Old Quarry Middle School student on her way home from school Tuesday, according to Cmdr. Dan Tulley of the Lemont Police Department. Martin was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. The 13-year-old student suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident, which occurred at approximately 2:40 p.m. near the Lemont Park District campus on 127th Street near Eagle Crest Drive.  The girl was immediately transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and her brother reported Tuesday on Facebook that she had some cuts and bruises but was otherwise OK.  Tulley said the student was struck while walking in a …
