The Music Project at the church offers private lessons, special interests workshops, group lessons and music for tots — all under one roof. The program puts an emphasis on being positive and encouraging in its teaching approach. The First Presbyterian Church in Bolingbrook held its international Potluck Sunday to raise money for its mission's trip to Mexico. Church members got together and brought their signature dishes and desserts to enjoy a Sunday lunch for a good cause. The church is looking to send ten missionaries to Yucatan, Mexico in July to build churches and provide help for underprivileged people in the area. The cost of the trip is $1,000 per person, of which $250 would be donated for construction materials. The remainder of the money goes for food, lodging and transportation.
