African American Genealogy Workshop Feb. 9, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Learn about slavery's roots and consequences, including two presentations. “Spellbinder” Walter King Jr. Feb. 17, 2 p.m. A 45-minute program from a man who has performed with "Bill Cosby, Gladys Knight, Jennifer Hudson and The Temptations," according to the Bolingbrook Reporter.
