Vote for Bolingbrook's 'A Christmas Story' Home in our Deck the House Contest
Vote every day for the Bolingbrook home for a chance for a local school district to win $100,000.
Voting for Patch's Deck the House contest has begun -- and we have a Bolingbrook home that needs your votes! A Bolingbrook home decorated to the theme of "A Christmas Story" has entered their home in the contest. You can vote every day for their home here. Only residents of Patch towns are eligible to enter. We’ll select 24 regional finalists, and from them, pick one grand prize winner. Patch will pay up to $500 of the utility bill for each finalist, while our national winner will have $100,000 donated to his or her local school district. By now, you should know about Patch’s “Deck the House” contest, which launched this month and gives dedicated decorators the chance to win $100,000 for their local school district by entering photos or videos of their holiday light displays. (You can check out Bolingbrook entries and cast your vote by clicking here.) But we can’t all be Clark Griswold. Maybe your holiday display is a little more low key — or maybe you’re just not the contest-entering type. That’s no reason to hide your light. We think your holiday display deserves to be shared. We know you spent all weekend wrapping your home in holiday lights. Now it's showtime! Bolingbrook Patch wants to help you show off your masterpiece of holiday lighting. Send us an email and let us know about your lights display. Or, take your own photo and add it to this gallery (click "add" under the photos below). We're putting together a lights tour map of the town to publish next week. Need help photographing your lights show? Click on the images below for some expert advice.
