FOOTBALL: Bolingbrook Pummels Homewood-Flossmoor in Homecoming Game

Bolingbrook 45, Homewood-Flossmoor 28. Three rushing touchdowns by Raiders QB Aaron Bailey and a punishing running game propel Raiders to 5-0.

The Vikings kept the Raiders off-balance in the first quarter and scored on a 19-yard run by back Lionel James to give them a 7-6 lead. Bailey and the Raiders went on the attack immediately and scored 19 unanswered points in the first half to take a 25-7 lead at the half.  Vikings back Taje Smith cut the Raiders’ lead to 25-14 with an 11-yard catch early in the third quarter. After a quick touchdown by RB Jaden Huff to make …

Raiders Eye Vikings in Gridiron Grudgematch

Bolingbrook looks to avenge last year's loss to Homewood-Flossmoor, while handing the Vikings a second straight defeat.

Whether the scoreboard indicates it or not, each week provides an unique challenge to the Bolingbrook High School football team. After back-to-back blowouts of Joliet Central and Joliet West on their home turf, the Raiders take to the road for their biggest challenge yet — a grudge match against Homewood-Flossmoor. Quarterback Aaron Bailey said he and his teammates began looking forward to the game as soon as they clinched their 49-12 victory against Joliet West on Sept. 16. “Once we hit the locker room, we were saying we have a big one next week. We're going to H-F and we know they're not going to lay down,” Bailey said. “They're a very tough team. They're going to be hungry and they'll probably try to take it out on us. But we'll be …
