The Bolingbrook High School boys basketball team led Homewood-Flossmoor through much of Friday night's game. But a 15-3 run by Homewood-Flossmoor in the fourth quarter brought the two teams to 48-48 with 5:10 left in the game, according to the Bolingbrook Reporter. A dunk by Bolingbrook's Kendall Guyton with four seconds left pulled out a 50-48 win. Bolingbrook and H-F have a history of close games, with Bolingbrook losing to H-F in overtime multiple times in the past. "If you had told me at the beginning of the night we were going to win by two, I would have taken it," said Bolingbrook Head Coach Rob Brost. Bolingbrook is now 11-3 overall and 3-1 SouthWest Suburban Blue. Top scorers: Prentiss Nixon (20 points), Kenny Williams (16 …

Bolingbrook 45, Homewood-Flossmoor 28. Three rushing touchdowns by Raiders QB Aaron Bailey and a punishing running game propel Raiders to 5-0.
Breaking It Down: It was about the running game for much of the game between the Bolingbrook and Homewood-Flossmoor. The Raiders set the tone early with a 55-yard touchdown by quarterback Aaron Bailey on the third play from scrimmage. The Vikings kept the Raiders off-balance in the first quarter and scored on a 19-yard run by back Lionel James to give them a 7-6 lead. Bailey and the Raiders went on the attack immediately and scored 19 unanswered points in the first half to take a 25-7 lead at the half. Vikings back Taje Smith cut the Raiders’ lead to 25-14 with an 11-yard catch early in the third quarter. After a quick touchdown by RB Jaden Huff to make …

Bolingbrook looks to avenge last year's loss to Homewood-Flossmoor, while handing the Vikings a second straight defeat.
Whether the scoreboard indicates it or not, each week provides an unique challenge to the Bolingbrook High School football team. After back-to-back blowouts of Joliet Central and Joliet West on their home turf, the Raiders take to the road for their biggest challenge yet — a grudge match against Homewood-Flossmoor. Quarterback Aaron Bailey said he and his teammates began looking forward to the game as soon as they clinched their 49-12 victory against Joliet West on Sept. 16. “Once we hit the locker room, we were saying we have a big one next week. We're going to H-F and we know they're not going to lay down,” Bailey said. “They're a very tough team. They're going to be hungry and they'll probably try to take it out on us. But we'll be …
