Homework and Tutoring Center at Brooks a Success

More than 100 students took advantage of the three-day-a-week after-school opportunity.

Officials at Brooks Middle School are calling the new Homework and Tutoring Center "a huge success." Launched several weeks before spring break, more than 100 students took advantage of the three-day-a-week after-school opportunity that was the brainchild of the Brooks Intervention and Enhancement Committee. “We wanted to have somewhere for students to do homework, study, or  get the help and support they need,” said HTC coordinator Nicole Peters. Volunteer staff members and Brooks National Junior Honor Society members were on hand from 2:45 to 4 p.m. every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
