More homes were sold in January 2013 in Bolingbrook compared with a year earlier; the median sale price has also increased by more than 6 percent.
The 41 detached, single-family homes sold in Bolingbrook during January represented a 20.6 percent increase over January 2012, when 34 homes were sold, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe). Prices were up, but home sales in Bolingbrook were slightly down from December 2012 to December 2011, real estate statistics show.
Single-family home sales were down in Bolingbrook during December from last year, but median home prices saw a big jump, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe). Fifty-six detached, single-family homes were sold in December, slightly down from the 58 sold in Dec. 2011. But median home prices jumped from $134,000 in Dec. 2011 to $162,750 in Dec. 2012, an increase of 21.5%. Fifty-nine homes were sold in November, at a median price of $170,000. The market for homes in suburbs throughout Will and Kendall counties saw growth in December, MORe reported. MORe gets its statistics from Midwest Real Estate Data. More Bolingbrook homes sold in Nov. 2012, and at higher prices, than homes sold in Nov. 2011.
The 59 single-family homes sold in Bolingbrook during November represented a 22.9 percent increase over November 2011, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe). There were 67 Bolingbrook homes sold during October. In addition, the median price of homes sold in November ($170,000) was 12.2 percent higher than the median price of homes sold in October 2011 ($151,500). After a decline in September, Bolingbrook home sales were up over 2011 October numbers, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors.
Bolingbrook home sales saw a decline of 25.9 percent in September over 2011 numbers. In October, home sales swung in the other direction. Bolingbrook home sales were up 28.9 percent from Oct. 2011 to Oct. 2012, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors, from 52 units in 2011 to 67 in 2012.
