Bolingbrook Baby, Family Celebrated by March of Dimes

The Greske family of Bolingbrook is the 2013 DuPage County March for Babies Ambassador Family at a Naperville event Saturday.

In celebration of Henry, the Greske family, of Bolingbrook, will represent the March of Dimes as the 2013 DuPage County March for Babies Ambassador Family. About 2,000 people were expected to participate in Sunday's event. DuPage County March for Babies is a 3.1-mile walk that will kick off at 9 a.m. For a preemie born at 26 weeks, Henry amazed his doctors and nurses as he was looking around, trying to cry and breathing on his own, all of which are difficult for babies born this early. It's interesting on a local news organization promotes an event in another town when the exact same event is taking place in the same town that the news organization is suppose to be covering. Bolingbrook also had a March for Babies event yesterday with Tracey Butler from ABC channel 7 hosting. Wondering why thereis such a bias that Napervile gets highlighted why Bolingbrook gets overlooked.   more ›

This was a great event that raised $approximately $20,000 more than last year. Over 400 walkers registered for the event and the Promenade and Gordon Biersch Restaurant were excellent host for this years event. A big thank you to them and all the walkers who came out to support the March of Dimes.   more ›
