Someone You Should Know in Business

Someone You Should Know: Michael Carpanzano

The new CEO of the Bolingbrook Chamber of Commerce shares his thoughts with Patch.

When I arrived at my meeting with Michael Carpanzano, he had the following on the table: a laptop, an iPad and a cellular phone. And Carpanzano was not just bringing them to show off. He was using them. Carpanzano and technology go hand in hand. Capanzano was selected as the CEO of the Bolingbrook Chamber of Commerce and took over on March 4. "I think I bring that positive spirit to advocate for business," Carpanzano said. His good relationship with technology might have played a role in his selection. Prior to being the chamber CEO, Carpanzano worked at MB Financial Bank. In that role, he spent a lot of time at chamber events. But he took an extra step and voluntarily started the chamber's Facebook Page and Twitter. Capanzano has a couple…

Kiwanis Club Seeks to Add New Members to Its Roster

Currently about 25 members make up the club. The group is seeking active adults who live or work in the Bolingbrook and Romeoville area to join.

For Michael Carpanzano, nothing gives him more joy than being a part of something larger than himself. That’s why about three years ago he joined the Kiwanis Club of Bolingbrook & Romeoville. “While on an individual level we may make a child's day by giving them an award, the larger picture of us making a lasting impression on children is something that really can't be described in words,” said Carpanzano, president of the organization. Members of the nonprofit devote themselves to serving children and communities. Chartered in 2002 to serve Bolingbrook and Romeoville, currently about 25 members make up the club. Carpanzano hopes to see that number increase. The group is seeking active adults who live or work in the Bolingbrook and …

Someone You Should Know: Carpanzano Known for Lending a Helping Hand

The Kiwanis and DuCAP volunteer works to make a positive impact on youths.

The Kiwanis Club of Bolingbrook and Romeoville is pleased to have Romeoville resident Michael Carpanzano, the organization's treasurer, as part of its team. “Since he has been part of this club, he’s given 110 percent of his talents and efforts to what he does,” Kiwanis President Jimmy Barber said. According to Barber, Carpanzano is a major force in getting the word out about the Kiwanis club through social media and other marketing strategies. Carpanzano, who is also a volunteer with the DuPage County Area Project (DuCAP), said he feels the success of the volunteer programs he is involved in can be credited to great communication and in making great connections in the community, two things at which Carpanzano excels, Barber said. “He has …
