It takes time and energy, but feed them and teach them to eat healthy - limit fast food and junk food. Fat …   more ›

I got my son a cell phone at 11 years old. But it was mainly so I could feel comfortable. He could go to the nearby park by himself and start to have some independence. I could call him anytime and I also had the child locator service on it. It gave me piece of mind.   more ›

I was just talking about crazy schedules for kids this morning with my mom friends. Because my kids are younger, this is not a problem...yet. But, I definitely think that if you have to think about quitting your job then your kids are definitely participating in too many activities! Are your kids on so many sports teams that you and/or your husband cannot even enjoy watching them cause you are …   more ›

Dear Moms: You're Awesome (And We Need Your Help)

We promise, unlike some kids, we won't forget to write.

Moms, we want to talk to you. And we want you to talk to us. Often. We know you've got wisdom to share—not just with your children, but with other moms facing the same challenges, dilemmas, joys and opportunities you've encountered. Although it seems like you can do everything (it really, really seems that way—we never stop being amazed by it), it wouldn't hurt to have some fellow moms around to share ideas and advice. Here's the deal: Starting very soon, we're going to be offering a lot of information we hope you'll find useful. Tips and stories on everything from finding the best pediatrician or daycare to the best spot for a little overdue peace and quiet. We'll be exploring ways to get the most from the school system, from camp, from a…
