'Rachel's Challenge' Tonight at RHS

Community invited to 7 p.m. multimedia presentation that aims to foster positive culture in schools.

A group of students at Romeoville High School wants to start a chain reaction of kindness. To that end, the school’s Student Leadership Club is inviting all members of the Valley View School District 365U community to attend a free presentation of “Rachel’s Challenge” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, in the school auditorium. Club members Catie Crnkovich, Hannah Canniff and Justin Hurdle, all seniors, announced their plans at a press conference last week. Canniff said she viewed a presentation of “Rachel’s Challenge” last year with a friend at Plainfield East High School and was shocked to see how many students brought their parents to the evening assembly. “That’s what I hope happens here,” she said. “Rachel’s Challenge” features video and …

Moms Talk Q&A is a new forum for mothers (and parents, in general) to get together and talk about some of the most important issues facing you and your children.

Moms Talk is a new feature on Bolingbrook Patch that is part of a new initiative on our Patch sites to reach out to moms and families. Bolingbrook Patch invites you and your circle of friends to help build a community of support for mothers and their families right here in Bolingbrook.  Each week in Moms Talk, our Moms Council of experts and smart moms take your questions, give advice and share solutions.
