Brooks Middle School Advances to 7th Grade Girls Basketball Sectional
Brooks Middle School topped Martinez Middle School in the regional final Tuesday 40-29.
Brooks Middle School exploded for 26 points in the third quarter enroute to a 40-29 7th grade girls basketball regional final victory over Martinez Middle School Tuesday. The Bulldogs (13-5) advance to the Homer sectional final at 6 p.m. Nov. 28 against either Summit Hill (Frankfort) or Mokena Junior High. Brooks forced 17 Vikings turnovers in that amazing third quarter converting a 31-7 run into a 36-24 lead that they never relinquished. Francesca Aniceto and April Lowery each grabbed three steals and Tsimba Malonga scored 11 of her game high 16 points in the period.
