Joliet Road Resurfacing Project in Bolingbrook Begins Next Monday

The project will require reducing Joliet Road to one lane in each direction during the daytime hours where construction is taking place.

A Joliet Road resurfacing project through the Illinois Department of Transportation could make commutes slow going beginning Monday. The project will require reducing Joliet Road from just east of Bluff Road to Illinois 53 in Bolingbrook, to one lane in each direction during the daytime hours where construction is taking place, IDOT officials said in a press release. The project’s tentative completion date is May 31. K-Five Construction Corp., of Lemont, is the prime contractor on the $1.1 million project. IDOT is urging motorists to slow down, obey posted speed limits and drive with caution through work zones. Updates on the impacts to traffic are available at www.travelmidwest.com.
