Fountaindale Public Library opened a temporary Studio 300 space after its new multimedia creative space flooded last month.
While Studio 300 is being repaired from the damage incurred from the April flooding, Fountaindale continues to offer many Studio 300 services and programs in a temporary space. Studio 300 is located in the lowest level of the library. The Quiet Reading Room, located on the third floor of the library, is now the temporary Studio 300 space. The Mac computer stations are set-up and staff will continue to host programs and one-on-one training. Patrons can continue to learn about the video equipment with a “mini” TV studio. There's a TriCaster, cameras and a portable green screen set-up so patrons can gain experience and be ready to use the video recording studios in Studio 300. The $3 million space -- dubbed "Studio 300" -- will include six sound recording studios and two video recording studios. There will be three group collaboration rooms, video conferencing capabilities and a computer center with Mac's and PC's equipped with photo, audio and video editing software.
