Temporary Studio 300 Space to Continue Offering Services, Programs

Fountaindale Public Library opened a temporary Studio 300 space after its new multimedia creative space flooded last month.

While Studio 300 is being repaired from the damage incurred from the April flooding, Fountaindale continues to offer many Studio 300 services and programs in a temporary space. Studio 300 is located in the lowest level of the library.  The Quiet Reading Room, located on the third floor of the library, is now the temporary Studio 300 space. The Mac computer stations are set-up and staff will continue to host programs and one-on-one training. Patrons can continue to learn about the video equipment with a “mini” TV studio. There's a TriCaster, cameras and a portable green screen set-up so patrons can gain experience and be ready to use the video recording studios in Studio 300. Fountaindale Public Library Releases Sneak Peak to Audio, Video Creation Lab

Check out a sneak peak video and attend an intro session for Studio 300, which is set to open this spring in Bolingbrook.

Fountaindale Public Library is offering a sneak peak to its new audio and video creation lab.  The library recently released this Youtube video for its upcoming Studio 300. Fountaindale will also hold four sessions to introduce the lab to patrons in January and February. Studio 300 to Bring Audio, Video Creation Lab to Fountaindale Library

The $3 million creative space is set to open in spring 2013 and will include sound and video recording studios and a media editing computer center.

Want to record a podcast? Make a video? Edit photos?  Starting next spring, Fountaindale Public Library will open an audio and video creative space in its basement.  The $3 million space -- dubbed "Studio 300" -- will include six sound recording studios and two video recording studios. There will be three group collaboration rooms, video conferencing capabilities and a computer center with Mac's and PC's equipped with photo, audio and video editing software. The space will be 7,000 square feet total.  The recording rooms will vary in size to accommodate both an individual recording a podcast and a dance group making a music video.
