Naperville Man Found Dead in Jewel-Osco Parking Lot: Bolingbrook Police

Bolingbrook police responded to Jewel-Osco Tuesday night to help locate a person who was thought to be suicidal, according to reports.

A 43-year-old Naperville man was found dead in his car Tuesday night after Bolingbrook police responded to Jewel-Osco in an attempt to find a person who was thought to be suicidal.  Get news in your inbox. Boughton Rd., near Boughton Road and Weber Road.  The preliminary investigation of the death appeared to be a suicide, according to police. The man was pronounced dead at 10:55 p.m.  Officers cleared the area when they found a suspicious object near the body. The Bolingbrook Fire Department evaluated and handled the hazardous material concern. The object was later identified as a helium tank.   The incident remains under …

The man had hazardous material (helium tank) not a gun!! People been having guns since guns were invented. The media need to stop violent movies,music,video games etc. This is a public health issue (shootings,suicides etc). The government is hyping gun topics to disarm america to have total power!! Bomb squad units responded to a Bolingbrook Jewel-Osco Tuesday night for the report of a suspicious package and a possible suicide, according to preliminary reports.

Updated 7:30 a.m. Wednesday According to a report in the Chicago Tribune, a 43-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:55 p.m. Tuesday. Bolingbrook police had been asked to help find the man who was thought to be suicidal, according to the Trib. I was in that parking lot at 11:25 while police were still there. I was asked if I was there about that-the man who asked me assumed I was some kind of responder(detective or something). I was there simply bc I pulled over to send a text. (Instead of driving and texting). It was a scary site to see..I feel so sorry for the family..   more ›

Bomb squad units responded to a car parked at Jewel-Osco, 1200 W. Boughton Rd., Tuesday night for the report of a suspicious package and a possible suicide, according to preliminary reports.   Northern Illinois FireGround Photos Facebook page, which reports fire and other incidents in the Chicago area posted, "Suicide in a car with suspicious package" around 11 p.m.  The car was later declared safe, according to scanner reports, and emergency personnel were awaiting the arrival of a coroner. One victim was reported to be in the car.  No official details have been released by the Bolingbrook Police Department or other agencies.
