Three of the four candidates on the "Friends of Valley View" slate received the most votes in the Valley View School District 365U school board Tuesday night.
Incumbents Elizabeth Campbell and Chrystal Hansen and newcomers Daniel Falese and Deborah Sykora received the most votes in the Valley View School District 365U school board election Tuesday night. Ronnie Bull, an incumbent, was the only candidate on the "Friends of Valley View" slate not to be elected. The four candidates on that slate were endorsed by Mayor Roger Claar. Two men who filed to run for the Valley View School District 365U school board will not be on the April 9 ballot.

Bolingbrook resident Mir Ali objected to the petitions of Bolingbrook resident Ron Doweidt and Romeoville resident Robert Vandiver. Both Doweidt and Vandiver would have been newcomers to the board. Ali testified that both men had failed to file the proper paperwork to run by the stated Dec. 26 deadline. Candidates are required to file a statement of economic interest with the county clerk.
