Each week we nominate a new restaurant for you to review. That's right, you're the local expert.
When it comes to restaurants, Bolingbrook has it covered. We have some great local places that many would consider community gems; we have some restaurants that aren't exactly mom-and-pop but are unique to the area; and we certainly—for better or for worse—have plenty of chains lining our main streets. But what we don't have is a consistent food critic to tell us what's good and what's not. That's where you come in. We're not egotistical enough to tell you what restaurants you do and don't like. It's your community. You eat the food. You tell us if it passes the mark. That's why we run The Friday Food Critic, where each week, we put a different restaurant on the chopping block. You tell us how you feel about it, what dishes are good, who …

Weekend event is free and open to the public.
Bolingbrook has more than 100 restaurants residents can choose from and many offer some of the best fare in the area. This weekend, more than a dozen of those eateries will be at the same place, at the same time—all waiting to serve up the best of what the Bolingbrook culinary scene has to offer. No, Bolingbrook isn’t building a massive food court. Instead, it’s the third annual Taste of Bolingbrook, a community festival aimed at highlighting the cuisine and dining options available to area residents. Brought to you by the Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce, the event will feature everything from fresh grilled meats, hamburgers, pizzas and pastas to fresh deserts and sweets. Some of the restaurants participating this year include Gordon …

You've heard of March Madness, right? Well, this is Munch Madness—Bolingbrook Patch's attempt to find the best restaurant in all of the village.
If there's one thing Bolingbrook's not short on, it's culinary choices. In fact, there are so many restaurants in Bolingbrook that Bolingbrook Patch had a tough time narrowing the field to just 64 eateries for its first-ever Munch Madness. Munch Madness runs along the same lines as the much-hyped March Madness except it uses Bolingbrook restaurants instead of college basketball squads. That's right, 64 Bolingbrook restaurants, all vying for top status in the village. Now we're not egotistical enough to tell you what restaurants you do and don't like. That's why we're letting you decide which eateries take home Sweet 16, Elite Eight, Final Four and Bolingbrook Champion honors. You eat there. You vote. You decide which restaurant could be …

If you're a vegetarian, watching your waistline or trying to eat healthy, this is an ideal place to catch a meal.
BD's MONGOLIAN GRILL OK, I admit I’ve never been to bd’s Mongolian Grill, despite it’s having been in Naperville for years and years. And, further, I confess that part of me assumed they served barbecue, aka something similar to American barbecue, because for years and years the name had been bd’s Mongolian Barbecue. I couldn’t have been further off the mark, and I’m kicking myself for not having checked it out long before now. This is a stir-fry place -- a really good one -- and it’s the ideal location for someone who’s trying to eat healthy or meat free. Location/atmosphere: If you’ve been to the Promenade Bolingbrook, an upscale outdoor mall off Boughton Road, you know there’s one section devoted just to restaurants. Mongolian occupies …
