A teenager was robbed at gunpoint in Bolingbrook Jan. 24, according to police. Two teenagers were approached in the 1000 block of Ridgewood Drive at 2:20 p.m. by two subjects. The pair asked the teens if they wanted to buy drugs. The teens declined and walked away. One of the subjects again approached the teens and displayed a handgun. He or she then went through teenagers' pants pockets, stealing cash and a cell phone. The thief then ran away. No charges have been reported in this incident. A Bolingbrook woman is expected in court next week after she was arrested for allegedly running a prostitution operation out of her South Elgin spa. According to a The Herald-News report, Naomi R. Sul, 44, of Bolingbrook, was arrested on charges of prostitution, keeping a place of prostitution, soliciting for a prostitute, battery and a felony count of unlawful restraint, all stemming from her arrest Tuesday. The report states that South Elgin Police were alerted to suspicious activity at Heaven Spa, 1314 W. Spring St., by nearby residents who noticed a solely male customer base. An undercover officer then went into the spa and was offered a sex act in exchange for money, the report said. Later, Sul attempted to prevent the undercover …

A Bolingbrook teen is in jail after police say he spray-painted a vehicle and shopping center fence with gang-related graffiti. Police arrested Edgar Torrijos-Perez, 19, of the 600 block of Preston Drive, after responding to a call on the 400 block of Wellington Lane about a car window being smashed and gang-related graffiti on it. According to the report, Perez was seen leaving the scene in a gold colored Toyota, which was later found by another police officer in the parking lot where Perez was arrested. Perez, police said, had marijuana and spray paint cans on him at the time. Police also noted graffiti on the back of the North Commons Mall and the town homes fence line and dumpsters. Peter Johnske, 24, faces felony retail theft and drug possession charges after police said he concealed $891.45 worth of razor blades at Meijer and then left the store without paying for the merchandise.
A Bolingbrook man is in the Will County Adult Detention Facility after police said he stole nearly $900 in razor blades from Meijer. Peter Johnske, 24, of the 1000 block of Bothwell Circle, faces felony retail theft and drug possession charges after police said he concealed $891.45 worth of razor blade refills and then left the store without paying for the merchandise. Bolingbrook police said they found Johnske in his car near the intersection of Weber Road and Lily Cache Lane, where officers subsequently arrested him. During the arrest, police said they found three hypodermic needles and a glass pipe. A 24-year-old female driver also was taken into custody, but later released without charges.
