Sept. 22 Credit card fraud, in-state warrant Roberto Zavala, 23, of 160 Malibu Dr., was arrested at 12:08 p.m. and charged with credit card fraud and an in-state warrant following a traffic stop on the 1300 block of Marquette Drive, Bolingbrook police said. Domestic battery Kiayre Wilkins, 20, of 133 Larchmont Way, was arrested at 9:35 p.m. and charged with domestic battery after a call to the residence, police said. Police say Cletus Tawiah has been doing scam 'a couple years.'
A Bolingbrook man was arrested last week after racking up thousands in debt in his brother’s name, Romeoville police said. Cletus Tawiah, 41, of 505 Preston, was arrested Thursday and charged with financial identity theft, theft and unlawful use of a credit card after an investigation revealed that he had opened several lines of credit using his brother’s identity, according to Assistant Chief Steven Lucchesi. “He was using his brother’s identification and opened up various accounts,” Lucchesi said, including an account with a balance of more than $3,000. “Apparently, he’s been doing this for a couple years,” Lucchesi said.
