Firefighters Rescue Injured Construction Worker From Edward Hospital Roof

Firefighters used an on-site crane to lower an injured construction worker from the roof of Edward Hospital Wednesday morning.

Naperville Fire Department rescued an injured construction worker from the roof of Edward Hospital, 801 S. Washington St., Wednesday morning by using an on-site crane.  Get news in your inbox. Naperville's Public Safety Answering Point received a 911 call from the injured construction worker around 8:03 a.m. and crews arrived to the scene at 8:08 a.m., according to the Naperville Fire Department.  Crews found the injured worker on the top level of a construction project on the roof of the hospital's new addition, but a specialized rescue team was needed in order to reach the worker due to the height of the building, according to the fire department. lol I was thinking the same thing. They must have meant into the building, rather then leaving him on the roof. A very short but difficult transfer it sounds like!!   more ›
