Bolingbrook High School Picks Barack Obama for President
The students overwhelmingly chose Barack Obama in a recent mock election over both Mitt Romney and Gary Johnson.
The results are in -- Bolingbrook High School has overwhelmingly picked Democrat Barack Obama for president. Thousands of Bolingbrook High School students voted last Tuesday in a mock presidential election. Students chose from three candidates: Libertarian Gary Johnson, Republican Mitt Romney and Democrat Barack Obama. But students only saw Candidates A-C on their ballots. "We wanted the students to get involved in politics," said Kristin Sarama, who teachers freshman history and heads up this year's mock election committee. "We wanted them to do the research based on beliefs, not whether or not they know the name."
