BHS Cheerleaders Finish Second in State at ICCA

Bolingbrook High School varsity cheerleaders Ariel Smith and Angel Young also received all-state honors at the Illinois Cheerleading Coaches Association's State Cheerleading Championships.

Ariel Smith and Angel Young received all-state honors as the varsity cheerleading squad finished second at the Illinois Cheerleading Coaches Association’s State Cheerleading Championships over the weekend in Springfield.

The Raiders, who also finished high in the Illinois High School Association’s state finals Feb. 2 and 3 in Bloomington, have had an outstanding season.

Team members are: Deizuna Alston, Courtney Barnes, Brandi Binkley, Cortrez Branigan, Jaelyn Burns, Cristina Cabral, Kaprice Chandler, Victoria Figueroa, Tarah-Lynn Freeman, Theresa Grzenia, Takia Jones, Courtney Marrow, Daizha Mason, Courtney Morrison, Emma Murray, Brittany Nicholson, Corvon Riley, Mayra Roman, Ariel Smith (captain), Leah Thompson (captain), Jessica Watkins, Kierstin Wnek, Makita Williams, Traya Williams  and Angel Young (Captain).

They are coached by Tammy North.
