Second Man Arrested in Bolingbrook Hotel Robbery

Pair allegedly robbed women with a BB gun.

A second suspect was arrested Tuesday in an alleged stickup in a Bolingbrook hotel room.

Bolingbrook police said two female victims were robbed at the Ramada Inn, 520 S. Bolingbrook Dr., on June 8 after inviting one of the suspects into their room.

Last month, Lt. Mike Rompa said Cambren Powell, 21, of Bolingbrook, and a second suspect showed up at the room at around 9:17 p.m. and brandished a handgun, which was reportedly a BB gun, and stole a cell phone before fleeing the hotel.

Powell was arrested a short time later, positively identified by the victims and taken into custody, police said.

Rompa said police obtained an arrest warrant for the second suspect, identified as Devontti C. Gilmore, 21, also of Bolingbrook. Gilmore was arrested without incident at 8:53 p.m. Tuesday on the 700 block of Westwind, Rompa said.

Gilmore is charged with aggravated robbery and theft, according to jail records. His bond was set at $100,000.

Cambren, who is charged with aggravated robbery, remains at the Will County jail on $150,000 bond, according to jail records.
